SUSAN BORGHESE

Hi I'm Susan and my story begins with the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic. I found myself in a unwanted and potentially deadly situation as I fall into the "High Risk " group, meaning that I could face serious complications if I were to contract the virus. I have been in the Education sector as a Educational Assistant working with Special Needs students specifically high functioning Autistic children for over twenty years. I loved my job! Being able to make real and positive changes in the lives and the academic successes of my students was gratifying.

In September of 2020 I made the difficult decision not to return to the classroom fearing exposure to the Covid-19 Virus, and low and behold the classroom that I would have been in with my student did experience an outbreak of the virus. I knew that working from home was really the only viable and safe option for me, as the close contact with children who dont understand the concept of social distancing or the importance of wearing PPE was a real concern.

Throughout my life I always dreamed of owning my own business and had tried various home based businesses with some success, but I didn't like having to recruit family and friends, or engage in cold call marketing.
